About the development department

Welcome to the Curriculum Development Department (CDD) of JIC.  CDD is one of the two main departments under the deputyship of Planning and Development (P&D).  It is responsible for the quality and continuous improvement of JIC’s academic programs.  The main functions of the department include:

  • Ensuring that the College curriculums are aligned with the mission and vision of JIC, address the needs of the local industries and the wider community, and comply with the standards of national and international accreditation bodies.
  • Collaborating with academic departments to maintain high curriculum standards, regularly assess and evaluate the learning outcomes, and apply findings to drive continuous improvements.
  • Collaborating with accreditation bodies, and internal and external reviewers to ensure programs undergo regular evaluation and maintain their accredited status.
  • Conducting regular awareness sessions to ensure that faculty members are familiar with JIC quality-related policies and procedures and apply them in their functions.

The CDD is a vital component of the P&D as it continuously strives to implement a culture of excellence throughout JIC, and contributing to achieve the mission of JIC of producing highly skilled graduates who are ready to contribute to the Kingdom's industrial growth.
