About the Planning Department
The Planning Department at the Deputyship for Planning and Development of Jubail Industrial College plays a vital role in shaping and implementing the College’s strategic direction in alignment with the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The department supports institutional excellence through effective planning, performance monitoring, and staff development, while also contributing to national and international accreditation efforts.
The main roles of the Planning Department include:
- Strategic Planning: Preparation and follow-up of the College’s five-year strategic plan.
- Operational Planning: Preparation of the annual operational plans and ensuring their alignment with strategic objectives.
- Resource Planning: Preparation and follow-up of the annual material requests for academic and administrative needs.
- Performance Monitoring: Preparing quarterly and annual reports on achievements and challenges to support informed decision-making.
- Staff Training & Development: Designing short- and long-term training and development plans to enhance staff skills and competencies.
- Faculty Academic Development: Coordinating scholarship programs for faculty members to support their academic and professional growth.
- Partnerships & Cooperation: Preparing proposals for future cooperation and agreements with academic and industrial organizations at local, national, and international levels.
- Employee Career Development: Coordinating and following up promotion requests for JIC employees.
- Accreditation Support: Providing data, reports, and analyses required for local and international accreditation processes.
- Data Analysis & KPIs: Collecting, analyzing, and reporting institutional data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to guide continuous improvement.
